Ali built the software behind the first version of Well.ca, although he’s probably best known for creating Brickbreaker (the BlackBerry game). Ali is addicted to Stash Premium Organic Earl Grey Tea, Q-tips and cinnamon-flavoured toothpaste, and he makes a mean french toast breakfast.

Andrew is responsible for getting things done at Well.ca – from bringing new products online to making sure customers are delighted when a package arrives at their front door. He’s previously been part of some really cool internet businesses like eBay, PayPal, Kijiji, and chapters.indigo.ca. Andrew depends on Reactine,Pull-Ups, Children’s Advil, and Method cleaning supplies. He’s addicted to chocolate and adds a Ritter Sport to every order, and loves to gift with a $100 Well.ca gift certificate.

Paige was formerly the AVP Marketing at Sears.ca, Canada’s largest ecommerce company. She now runs our marketing team. She enjoys scuba diving, drinking too much coffee and visiting other parts of the world. Whenever she travels, Paige can’t leave her house without Huggies Natural Care Baby Wipes Travel Pack (so useful when traveling even without a baby!), Gravol (always a good item in the purse) and Q-Tips (she’s just addicted to them).

Michael was formerly the Director of Ecommerce at Sears.ca. He now runs Well.ca’s growing Merchandising team.
Michael P had lived in Toronto his whole life until the big move to Guelph to work for Well.ca. He loves to travel and can often be found wearing a green hoodie. Things he hates include spiders, shovelling snow, and coriander. Things he likes include Glide Deep Clean Floss, Cepacol Lozenges, and Junior Mints.

Tony has worked at one of Canada’s largest technology companies, and he specializes in mobile, java, and web technologies. His hobbies include bringing joy to the world through music and scoring golasos. Tony’s a big fan of the Obus Forme Sound Therapy Relaxation System and kerplunk Stainless Steel Water Bottles. He also couldn’t survive the allergy season without his favourite generic,Tanta Allergy Relief Extra Strength.

As the content manager, Andrea ensures that the product information on Well.ca is of the highest quality. In her free time she likes to knit, check out local music, and she’s been known to make ravioli from scratch! Andrea’s favourite products are Alaffia Handcrafted Shea Butter, Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime Extra, and Rimmel London Lasting Finish Pro Nail Enamel.

Seimone is part of our friendly customer care team and when she isn’t helping our customers she can be found rocking out, watching British comedies, or making grilled cheese sammies. Seimone’s a fan of St. Ives Swiss Vanilla Moisture Therapy Lotion, Maynards Cherry Blasters, and CoverGirl LashBlast Mascara.

Nicole makes sure that our customers get the best customer service imaginable, so it should come as no surprise that she has a background in hospitality and tourism and is super organized to boot. When she isn’t coming up with organizational systems, Nicole loves to cook – as long as it involves cheese. Her guilty pleasures are reading love stories and historical fictions. Her not so guilty pleasures are Nivea Lip Care Hydro Care, Maynards Sour Wine Gums, and N.Y.C. Liquid Eyeliner.

As the Inventory Analyst, Rhonda spends her days forecasting sales and keeping a watchful eye on stock levels. She’s majorly in love with cheese and enjoys making music, cooking, and camping. Rhonda’s favourite products are St. Ives Apricot Scrub, Live Clean Argan Oil Restorative Conditioner, and Alaffia Everyday Shea Body Lotion.

Sameera joins Well.ca after graduating from Laurier’s Business program. She loves chocolate and candy, playing fantasy basketball during the NBA season, and spending summer weekends at her cottage playing The Settlers of Catan. She couldn’t go a day without her Complex 15 Therapeutic Face Cream.

Phil is a great shipster and an incredible cook. He spoils us with his cooking every Monday, and he loves everything to do with food! He is a musical dabbler through the guitar and the trumpet, and is inexplicably terrified of whales. Phil’s Well.ca favourites include Braggs Liquid Aminos, Jamieson Vitamins (because we all need vitamins), and, of course, Junior Mints.

When it comes to the books, Xiudong our main man. He’s happy when our books are balanced and there is a positive number at the bottom of the income statement. He has traveled quite a bit and enjoys trying all kinds of food. However, it seems that there is a special space in his stomach reserved just for rice, especially Inari Organic Brown Basmati Rice. He also loves tea like Uncle Lee’s Whole Leaf Organic Green Tea with Jasmine, and believes that tea is not only a drink, but also a nice pasttime.

Kevin loves winter and the great outdoors. He appreciates people who have given thought to their philosophy and ethics, and believes that lateral thinking is invaluable. Kevin’s favourite poems are City of the End of Things and Jabberwocky, and his favourite artwork includes Wooden Mirror and Machine with 23 Scraps of Paper. Some of the many reasons that Kevin loves Well.ca include Dr. Scholl’s Shoe Inserts, Jalapeno Pringles, and Moustache Wax.

Derek is a fun-loving member of our merchandising team. He keeps himself very busy in his spare time by hiking, biking and eating copious amounts of seafood. He loves watching stand-up comedy, boxing and live music. He absolutely loves reading. Some of his favourite authors include Tolstoy, Hemingway, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Chuck Palahniuk and Edgar Allan Poe. Derek is a world-class listener. Products that Derek enjoys are: Polysporin Lip Therapy, Dr. Bronner’s Organic Peppermint Liquid Soap, Nivea for Men Sensitive Shaving Foam.

Matt is a member of our software team and in his spare time he enjoys watching movies, reading, playing sports with his buddies and listening to music. In fact, Matt plays guitar in an indie rock band. His favourite meal is homemade hamburgers cooked on the cottage BBQ served with a side of potato salad. When it is time for a shave, Matt uses Gillette Series Shave Gel for Sensitive Skin.

Lianne is our resident accounts payable expert. She loves to explore nature through country drives, bikes rides and walks. Two things she just can’t live without are: humour on a daily basis and Klorane Dry Shampoo for a great pick me up. With her questioning nature, killer memory and attention to detail, Lianne should have been a private investigator, but her skills are still a great fit for accounting!

Rebecca helps to make sure that our orders get shipped out on time. When she’s not at Well.ca, she likes baking sugary goods and enjoys photography. Rebecca is also pretty fond of funny flatulence jokes! She likes to use St. Ives’s Apricot Scrub, Soft Lips, Sally Hansen Hard As Nails.

Jeff is a software developer-businessman-wizard-musician extraordinaire. Jeff is extremely busy! He heads an independent record label and an arts collective while working in a magic shop. Unlike Harry Potter, Jeff specializes in eating razor blades and sticking needles through himself (good reason to work at well.ca) – DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME! When he’s not playing with dangerous pointy things, Jeff enjoys playing synthesizers in a number of bands.

Daymis loves spending time with her daughter and watching her play ringette. She enjoys watching movies and heading out to the bowling alley. Daymis’ favourite products are the Dove Go Fresh Energized Body Mist and Aveeno products.

Kaitlin is the go-to girl for getting things done around the office. She’s been an all-star competitive cheerleader and coach for over 9 years and has traveled to the Cheerleading Worlds in pursuit of a championship title. She has a beautiful golden retriever and a curious hound dog who loves to chew her shoes! Melanie is an enthusiastic member of our shipping team. With a background in retail and customer service, she ships orders out with care. She loves the smell of coconut so she uses Hawaiian Tropic After Sun Body Butter year-round.

Monica is the purchasing assistant at Well.ca. She loves listening to old records, though she also enjoys the tunes that are played in the shipping warehouse. She prides herself on being able to cook up a yummy dinner from nothing. Her favourite moments include lounging with her overly voluptuous but beautiful wiener dog, Maya, and going on long car rides. Monica’s favourite product at Well.ca is Nivea Lip Care Hydro Care.

Greg is another key member of our merchandising team. In his spare time, he enjoys the outdoors by walking his dog, camping, and cycling. When he’s in the mood to stay in, his favourite pastimes include playing pool and watching movies. Greg also loves visiting his friends and family.

Andrew is a member of our shipping team. He is always willing to help and train others, as well as learn new things himself. His comfort food is sour cherries. Andrew loves Yummy Earth Organic Lollipops and GUM Soft-Picks… he never leaves home without them!

Carolyn is an active part of our Customer Care team. She enjoys running, dancing, and playing soccer and volleyball. Like many of us here at Well.ca, her favourite foods include coffee, along with apples, vanilla yogurt and pizza. Her favourite brands include Derma E and Salon Selectives.

Milosz began his career as a technical writer after university, but is excited to finally be putting his degree to proper use as a web developer. He cannot resist joining in on any three syllable chant, walks around with “Rock You Like A Hurricane” on a loop in his head, and never misses an episode of Jeopardy! Most days, he comes to work smelling like Nivea for Men Sensitive After Shave Balm.

To Becky, family means everything. She believes that if you fall, you should get right back up… it will only make you stronger! Becky enjoys using Aveeno, Garnier Fructis Conditioner, and Durex.

Jen thinks summer is the best time of year- because it’s Ultimate Frisbee season! When not tossing a disk, she loves to shop. Doesn’t matter where, any store will do! Ned is a software developer who loves to get his hands dirty in all areas of Well.ca code. With a bachelor of Computing and Business and a master’s degree in JavaScript (from the School of Hard Knocks), Ned’s always looking to learn more. He’s a part-time CrossFitter, loves bacon, enjoys a game of Settlers and can give you a run for your money in Gran Turismo. Thanks to Old Spice High Endurance, he’s easy to work around even after a workout.

Michelle joins our merchandising team after being raised in both Africa and Finland. She’s happily married to her best friend and grade eight sweetheart, Jay. She’s passionate about social justice, particularly with issues involving human trafficking. When Michelle isn’t whipping up product pages, she can be found buying

Michelle likes everything to do with Shipping in the warehouse here at Well.ca. When she’s not off-roading in her bright yellow Jeep, she’s chilling at home with her cat and 3 dogs. Tyson spends his off hours making music- with his Gameboy! He loves putting on shows and entertaining people. When he’s not working with our shipping staff in his signature blazer, Tyson watches old 70’s TV shows like Columbo and reads biographies on interesting people. He breaks up his day in the warehouse by eating :Crunchie bars and drinking Stash Earl Grey Tea

Rob is part of the shipping team here at Well.ca, and enjoys every aspect of his job! He also likes to bike, especially on the trails around our warehouse. This Led Zeppelin fan loves Sweedish Fish, Cashew Butter and Moustache Wax for his once-a-year Movember stash!

Rachel is a software developer that has a passion for dancing, singing and performing in the evenings. She’s a proud owner of a film-quality miniature of Serenity and is surprisingly accurate at memorizing song lyrics and movie lines with minimal effort. Her favourites at Well.ca include Nuts to You Almond Hazelnut Butter (delicious!) and The DivaCup.

Glenda is a purchasing manager at well.ca. Glenda holds friendships close to her heart; in fact for the last 20 years, Glenda has a weekly lunch date with one of her closest friends. When Glenda is not in the well.ca office, she can be found reading, playing her favourite game Angry Birds or munching on Camino Chocolate".

Rohan was rescued from the freelance design world and now shares his awesome graphic design skills with Well.ca’s marketing team. When he isn’t giving the developers headaches thanks to awkward code, Rohan enjoys publicizing his increasingly eccentric thought process, stubbornly arguing about politics and he has a strange attraction to upward-facing orange arrows. Rohan’s favourite Well.ca products are from Method because of he loves their awesome packaging design. Rohan one day hopes to not live like a student, and also go 8 months without breaking his cell phone!

Tamara works in Customer Care at Well.ca. When she’s not in the office, Tamara can be found reading, hanging out with her son at the park or spending time with friends. Her favourite products on Well.ca are Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soaps and Cadbury Mini Eggs.

Sharon is the liaison between our superb customer care team and dynamic warehouse staff. When it comes to her favorite Well product lines, Kushies and Munchkin are at the top of her hit parade. The Munchkin Inflatable Safety Duck Tub has already provided loads of fun time for her and Oliver, her first grandchild. She enjoys playing all types of games with her family including Catch Phrase and Apples to Apples

David is our warehouse detective making sure no order gets left behind! This avid indoorsman loves chocolate especially “Clif Chocolate Chip Peanut Crunch" and has a serious Coca-cola addiction. Want to know any interesting facts about dead Canadian Prime ministers? Sure thing! David loves to read their bios. When the beat is right, David is known for busting a move in the inventory isles. Oh, and did I mention that he is 96% bio-degradable?

Even if programming wasn’t Chris’s job- he would do it anyway! When he’s not solving problems on our software team, he loves playing board games like Bang and staying super involved in the local ecommerce start-up scene. Chris is always up for a chat and likes his slow cooked meats, fine root beers and ice cream. What’s his kids favourite Well.ca item? Sophie the Giraffe of course!

Danny joins our software team from previously living in Taiwan, Singapore and the US. When he’s not mad coding, he loves watching basketball, movies or exploring new neighbourhoods and cuisine with his wife. His keeps his dishes and hair clean thanks to Herbal Essences and Method Smarty Dish. Like the rest of us at Well.ca, Danny loves chocolate! Especially Cadbury’s Mr. Big

This software developer loves classic movies like The Sound of Music and is known as a huge Beatles fan. Rob takes care of technology and does whatever it takes to make sure that things work well. His work both in the online world and in traditional environments has taken him half way around the world. Rob says that he has a really great family and knows how lucky he is that they put up with all of the crazy stuff he does. Jessica’s energetic personality is contagious and she craves a good challenge- which is why you can find her in the HR department! Lesley is a member of our customer care team and she joins us after working in childcare. She loves kids, dancing, Neutrogena fresh foaming cleanser and spending time with friends and family. This make-up junkie loves mascara and goes through a tube of l’Oreal Voluminous Million lashes once a month! Lesley describes herself as a little nutty- we love her impromptu songs and dances (which are definitely her forte!) Angela is a part of the awesome customer care team. She loves to have a good laugh while spending time with her family and friends. This Goalie plays hockey year round and must have his Old Spice High Endurance Hair & Body Wash for after the game. When he is not making sure our customer’s products are in the right place, he enjoys playtime with his son who loves to make lots of noise and laugh along with his Fisher-Price Brilliant Basics Corn Popper. Along with organizing our warehouse so it can be super efficient, Jamie snacks on Swedish Berries while watching one of his 2000 movies!

Lise is a volleyball enthusiast who loves her two daughters, chocolate, and Neutrogena Triple Moisture Silk Touch Leave-In Cream. She has recently joined our accounting team to help them crunch the numbers! After moving here from the Yukon in 2002, she dipped her toes in Real Estate then eventually found herself at Well.ca; we are sure glad she did! Along with great real estate advice, Lise can easily provide you with the many benefits of Toastmasters- an organization that helps participants develop speaking and leadership skills.

When not providing customers with the best care imaginable, Laurie’s favourite things are her new Grandson, long hikes off the beaten track, dancing to bee-boppy music, and a great book. She has the best circle of girlfriends in the world – her YaYa’s – who feed her heart and soul everyday! She can’t go a day without Burt’s Bees Rosewater & Glycerin Toner, Glysomed Hand Cream and Green Beaver Facial Cleanser.

This Guelph native graduated from the University of Guelph, and is now a member of our awesome Customer Care team. He loves exploring the city for fun and interesting things to do, and just being a Guelphite! While sipping Stash Earl Grey Tea, he likes reading, relaxing to music, and playing Apples to Apples with his friends. We can always count on Kevin for a smile!

After crunching the numbers and keeping the warehouse administration on-track, this camping buff enjoys lounging in hammocks, hiking with his dogs, and researching new outdoor gear online. That’s why he always needs to keep his Polysporin, and Band-Aids on hand. When Tyler’s tight circle of friends get together they can’t resist playing the newest online computer game- so he must take his NOW foods Adam Multivitamin to keep up with the competition!

Russel is part of the awesome purchasing team here at Well.ca. When not handling misbehaving orders in the warehouse, Russel likes enjoying the scenery in Muskoka with Jack Link’s Beef Jerky in hand. . He also will try anything new, including our Manic Panic line of vibrant hair colour! Along with playing piano, video games, and hosting fun parties, Russel likes Vim Oxy Gel All Purpose Cleaner.
